Smooth, radiant, youthful looking skin with dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a quick, safe, and non-invasive skin procedure used to remove the top, thin, outer layer of skin called epidermal cells. Using a specialized surgical blade, it's performed by gently scraping away the top layer of problematic skin.

Dermaplaning is also an excellent option for clients looking to get rid of pesky peach fuzz (vellus hair) on their face. Over time, vellus hair can cause a buildup of dirt and oil, causing breakouts. Removing these hairs greatly improves your skin health and can prevent breakouts between treatments.

What to expect during your visit?

Consultation

Similar to other medical procedures, your provider will take time before your session to discuss your problem areas, as well as your medical history, to ensure Dermaplaning treatments are the right option for you. They will also determine how many treatments you need to achieve the best results. Your provider may also take photos of the area(s) receiving treatment. These photos will be used to show your before and after transformation!

Treatment

When you arrive for your appointment, the targeted area will be cleaned thoroughly. Next, a small, sterile surgical blade will be used to remove peach fuzz and dead skin cells. After your treatment is finished, all of the excess skin will be wiped away.

Post-Treatment

Considered a “lunch hour procedure” dermaplane treatments can be performed in as little as 15 to 30 minutes. That’s right, you can have your treatment and be back to work after your lunch hour with refreshed, radiant, and youthful looking skin! We recommend avoiding direct exposure for a few days immediately following your treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

As the largest portion of your body, your skin is vulnerable. Genetics, stress, environment, and your routine all impact the appearance and health of your skin. To reverse these negative influences it takes more than simply cleansing and moisturizing. That’s where dermaplaning can help!

Using a small surgical scalpel, your provider will gently scrape away all of the dead skin cells and vellus hairs (peach fuzz) in your treatment area. In as little as 15 to 30 minutes, you’ll have smoother, healthier, and more radiant skin.

Are you ready for your close up? Aside from producing more radiant and healthy looking skin, regularly scheduled dermaplaning treatments:

  • Reduce dry and dull skin.
  • Temporarily remove vellus hair (peach fuzz).
  • Enhance the impact of your personal skin care products.
  • Smooth uneven skin tone.
  • Minimize superficial scarring caused by acne.

Contrary to popular belief, your hair will not grow back darker or thicker. In fact, your hair will grow back at the same speed and thickness as normal.

Dermaplane treatments are quick, safe, and non-invasive. After your treatment you may experience slight redness or dryness around the targeted treatment area. However, these side effects typically resolve within 15 minutes.
The results of dermaplaning aren’t permanent. The treatment can clear away up to three weeks’ worth of dead skin cells. After three weeks to a month, your results will begin to fade and you’ll need to schedule another appointment.
Dermaplaning will immediately provide you with smoother, slightly brighter-looking skin, without any peach fuzz (until it naturally grows back).
Not at all! In fact, it will result in the opposite! When your dead skin builds up it can clog your pores and hair follicles, which can cause you to break out. Dermaplaning provides a gentle exfoliation to reduce future breakouts and to improve the appearance of your skin.
